Brickonomics combines data from multiple platforms such as Rebrickable, BrickLink and Brick Owl. Brickonomics does not own this data nor does it have control over the contents. Errors or omissions in these data sources could lead to incorrect data being shown on Brickonomics. In addition, data obtained from external resources may be out of date. For example, an item may be sold out between the moment Brickonomics requests the data from Brick Owl and the user trying to add that item to their shopping cart. Brickonomics cannot be held responsible for any loss, financial or otherwise, which results from erroneous or out of date information from external sources.
You are not allowed to use web scrapers to download data from this website or to automate traffic without prior permission, Your IP address may be banned if you ignore this prohibition. If you would like certain data to be made available via an API you can make a feature request using the contact form.
Photos you scan
The Brickonomics app lets you photograph LEGO parts, minifigures and sets so we can identify them. The photos you take or upload for this, the parts of those photos we cut out, and the results you confirm or correct are together called "Scan Content" below.
The rights you give us
You keep ownership of your photos. By uploading Scan Content you grant Brickonomics a worldwide, non-exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, fully paid-up, transferable and sublicensable licence to use, store, copy, reproduce, modify, adapt, create derivative works from, distribute, publicly display and publish that Scan Content, in any media, for any purpose. This includes training, testing and improving machine-learning models and our identification service, building datasets, and showing examples on our website, in the app or in marketing. We do not have to credit you or pay you for this.
What you promise
By uploading Scan Content you confirm that:
- you took the photo yourself, or otherwise have every right needed to grant the licence above;
- the photo shows LEGO items and their immediate surroundings only: no people (in particular no faces or children), and no documents, screens, number plates, addresses or anything else that identifies a person;
- the photo contains nothing unlawful, offensive, sexual or violent, and nothing that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark or privacy.
We may remove any Scan Content, and block access to scanning, at any time and without notice.
If you delete your account or stop using the app
The licence continues. Scan Content may already be part of datasets and trained models and cannot be taken back out of them. Your rights over personal data are not affected by this licence: see "Scanning in the app" in our Privacy Policy.
No guarantee
Identification is automatic and can be wrong. Check a result before you buy, sell or price anything on the strength of it. Brickonomics cannot be held responsible for any loss that results from an incorrect identification.
